Decide what your mantra or affirmation will be and write it down. Feel free to use the list for inspiration.
Mantras and affirmations are both valuable tools for guiding and shaping one's thoughts and energy in a positive direction. A mantra is a statement of purpose, usually framed in the present moment, focusing on the desired outcome. Affirmations are positive statements aimed at challenging and overcoming negative thought patterns or self-limiting beliefs.
Setting a mantra or affirmations before meditation is essential because it gives your practice a clear purpose.
Since the goal of this workshop is to help us feel our feelings, I suggest setting the intention “I allow feelings to come up as they need.” You have the tools to manage this experience now, and you are safe.
If you feel you need a different Mantra or affirmation but aren’t sure which, feel free to refer to the “Mantra/Affirmations” list for some ideas! These can be used outside of meditation sessions as well!!
